William (Bill) graduated from Johnson State College in Vermont with a BA in Political Science, minoring in Public Administration. He then attained a MA. Ed. in Higher Education Student Affairs Administration at The University of Vermont and worked at colleges and universities in VT, NY, MA, and CO. In 2005 Bill moved to Florida and became a licensed English/Reading teacher first in Orange County and continued teaching in Lee County through June of 2015. Now Bill is a Registered Clinical Mental Health Intern, earning a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University.

​Working with clients who are active in making positive changes to improve their lives is Bill’s passion. As a person centered therapist who enjoys listening to clients’ live stories Bill enjoys helping to teach clients new ways to cope and work through challenges. Challenging clients’ thought process and feelings is something you will find core to Bill’s practice.

Bill specializes in Family Issues, Couples, Divorce, Stress, Anxiety as well as issues of Chronic Pain, Elder Care, Caregiver Stress, and Grief. Bill also enjoys working with clients struggling with ADHA (Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder), Family Conflict, Men’s Issues, Parenting, Peer/Romantic Relationships, Self Esteem, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (GLBTQ).

Being a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator, and having been a public school teacher for ten years, teaching both middle and high school provides Bill with a well-rounded experience. Bill’s experiences as a college/university administrator supervising residential housing systems (dorms) has served him well, learning that much more about the human condition.

Bill loves travelling, landscape gardening, being active in local events, and spending time time with family.
